Giving pets a second chance!

Gosford Dog Paws Pty Ltd manages Gosford City Council Pound.

If your animal is ever missing please give us a call straight away, we have a 76% success rate of getting dogs back to their owners. Any dogs that are not reclaimed by their owners become a Gosford Dog Paws Dog and we strive to find it a new home. All of our dogs are subject to a behaviour assessment and health check. We never judge a dog by its breed, temperament, age or health. Every dog is an individual and we help every dog that comes through our doors. No surgery has proven too big for us yet, having done amputations, knee reconstructions, eye surgeries, dentals, ear surgery, whatever the dog needs we do it!
Our behaviour assessments test the dogs in a lot of different scenarios, so that we can better pick what kind of family the dog needs. Dogs with behavioural issues are put through a training regime and are re tested in a months time. We have had tremendous success with this process.
All of our dogs are vet checked, desexed, microchipped, registered with council, vaccinated, flea treated, heartworm treatment and worming treatment. When looking for a new addition to your family please consider Gosford Dog Paws because rescued dogs are the best kind of dogs!

Gosford Dog Paws supports Responsible Pet Ownership!

All Dogs and Cats must be microchipped by 12 weeks of age. It is illegal to sell any animal without a microchip. Gosford Dog Paws can microchip your pet for you for $30, $15 for a pensioner and $15 each for a litter of pups. Your local Veterinarian can microchip for you as well.
All Dogs and Cats must be Lifetime Registered by 6 months of age. Lifetime Registration is a one off fee, that never has to be paid again.
Desexed $49
Non-Desexed $182
Desexed - with a pension card $19
Registered Breeder $49
Proof of desexing, pension card and registered breeders card must be shown to be bale to pay the lower fees.
Please remember that microchipping your pet does not mean that it is registered as well, it is a two step process.

If you ever change addresses, phone numbers or rehome your pet please contact us or your local council in order to update your animals microchip. Unfortunately everyday we are getting animals in that we cannot get back to their owners, because they are either not microchipped or the microchip is not up to date. Therefore, we can only rely on the owner contacting us to report their dog missing. Having your pet microchipped and the details being up to date is crucial.
